We are pleased to announce that Modo Campus has obtained Texas Risk and Authorization Management Program (TX-RAMP) Level 1 certification! This accomplishment underscores Modo’s dedication to delivering secure and compliant cloud services to our college partners in Texas, ensuring that our Campus solutions continue to provide valuable benefits for student engagement.

What is TX-RAMP?

Established by the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR), TX-RAMP offers a standardized approach to security assessment, certification, and continuous monitoring of cloud computing services that process the data of Texas state agencies.

TX-RAMP has two levels of certification, each reflecting the degree of risk and the required security measures for the type of data being handled:

Level 1 is designed for cloud services that handle non-confidential, public, or low-impact information resources. To obtain Level 1 certification, businesses must demonstrate their compliance by submitting a self-assessment questionnaire, which is reviewed and approved by DIR if it meets the program’s standards.

Level 2 is meant for cloud services that deal with moderate or high-impact data, which, if compromised, could moderately or severely affect a company’s operations or individuals. This level requires even stricter security measures. To achieve Level 2 certification, businesses must provide detailed assessments and documentation and, if needed, third-party assessments.

This level of certification validates a business’ ability to protect the most sensitive data.

Modo’s Continued Commitment to Security and Trust

With TX-RAMP Level 1 certification, Modo Campus has proven its ability to meet rigorous security requirements for non-confidential, public, and low-impact information resources. We value the trust and partnership with our college customers in Texas. Modo is committed to maintaining this certification and pursuing TX-RAMP Level 2 certification, demonstrating Modo Campus’ capability to securely handle moderate or high impact data and information resources.

Texas state colleges and universities can request the Modo Campus security package from the TX-RAMP program office run by DIR here.
